You don’t have to be a Honeyenial to know that honey is produced from the nectar of flowers pollinated by bees. What only Honeyenials may know is that no two flowers are the same, so no two honeys are the same!
Did you know that 130 different types of honey have been detected in the EU? Yes, and a Honeyenial would try them all! 😉
In addition, there are different types of honey depending on the time of year they are produced:
Honey, like other “living foods”, also evolves!
When the cold weather arrives, its natural sugars lose their solubility and tend to crystallise, making it thicker, more opaque, and clearer, although this tendency is not the same for all honeys! Those richer in fructose, such as oak honeys, can remain liquid for ever! :O
